why we have to lie?
Lately the word `lie ', especially associated with the` public' is very sensitive and could be inviting the wrath of the accused to do so.
Lies and lying is one of the reprehensible nature that must be avoided by every Muslim. Apostle SAW said, "It's brought to the virtues of honesty and kindness will lead to heaven. A person who always spoke the truth (honest), it will be written on the side of God as one who always spoke the truth. And really lies led to the mutiny and rebellion will be to deliver to hell. Someone who always lie, he will always be written with Allah as a liar. " (Bukhari-Muslim).
So the importance of telling the truth and not lie, either in relation to personal affairs let alone the public, the Apostle always associate with a true religious attitude. Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet Muhammad was never delivered sermons to us except he always said: Not perfect faith in someone who is not honest and untrustworthy, and imperfect religion someone who can not keep his promise." (Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Hibbaan).
The Jurisprudence of sale, that there is a contract between the seller and buyer, known as the concept of `khiyar ', namely freedom of choice as long as they have not separated. The apostle also explained, "If both are honest and clear, buying and selling them blessed. However, if they hide (something) and was lying then revoked blessing of their contract." (Bukhari). In my opinion, it also implies a real tradition in the political context and public benefit.
Is not the political essence of the contract (baiat) among voters in this case the people and elected leaders? So in this case, the principle of `khiyar 'also applies in the context of power relations. That is, if the people as holders of sovereignty are not satisfied with the performance of his chosen leaders, they are entitled to withdraw the leader's political mandate as mandatory.
Conversely, if the leader was no longer trusted by the people who gave him a mandate, a good move is to step back and returned his mandate to the people. With this attitude, it is expected blessing will always overshadow the country and this nation.
If you do not want to be revoked of its mandate, every leader must have the political will to lead with honesty, one word one deed. Imam al-Mawardi (d. 450 AH), an expert on Islamic state administration, wrote in the book Adabud Dunya wad Din, "the Lord is a priest who followed, and its behavior should be a good example. If he do wrong, do not expect the authorities under it could be fair , and if he's just so nobody officials who dare to do wrong. Prayer is the prayer of a righteous leader most likely to be answered by God, and good deeds rewarded most priority is the correct decision leader in managing public benefit. " Allah knows best.
